It’s been an exciting year here at The Small Social Company. Since this time last year, we have seen a lot of changes and growth, both in our client base, and on our team! Since it’s a new month, we thought it would be the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves and do a proper introduction of our rockstar team.
What is The Small Social Company?
We were founded in 2019 and offer a wide range of digital marketing services with a focus on social media, SEO, and websites. We believe that every project has its own personality and we approach each challenge with fresh energy and inspiration, so you get the best results.
We are proud to say that we are a small team of powerful women. We are dedicated, passionate and bring a great sense of pride into all that we do. Let’s meet the team of incredible women who make magic happen for our clients every day!
Julilyn Woods
Julilyn, or “Jules” as we call her is our Co-Founder and Digital Brand Director. We’ve nicknamed her the “Zoom Call Coordinator”. Her role includes client onboarding, business branding and strategic planning. What she loves most about her job is the stellar team she works with and creating successful partnerships.
Fun Fact - She was a vegan for over a decade and now loves bacon and double cheeseburgers.
Madilynn Harker
Madilynn, or “Madi” is our Co-Founder and Director of Social Media. We’ve nicknamed her the “Social Media Wizard”. Her role includes client onboarding, creating digital marketing strategies, executing social media ads and reporting on the wicked results! What she loves most about her job is making clients’ goals a reality.
Fun Fact - She lived in the United States for 15 years.
Catherine Colasimone
Catherine, or “Cat” for short is our Digital Marketing Director. We’ve nicknamed her the “Digital + Tech Detective”. Her role includes client onboarding, client management, creating digital strategies, website creation and optimization, running Google Ads campaigns and reporting. What she loves most about her job is that no day is the same, and figuring out how we can bring online success to our clients.
Fun Fact - She competed in pageants when she was younger and now volunteers in the pageant space, creating an empowering experience for young women in Northern Ontario.
Ashley Hum
Ashley works behind the scenes as the Small Social Bookkeeper. Her role includes accounts payables and receivables. What she loves most about her job is staying on top of the expenses.
Fun Fact - Her and Madi worked as summer students together 7 years ago for the Town of Greater Napanee and have been super close ever since.
Erica Harrold
Erica is one of our Digital Marketing Coordinators. We’ve nicknamed her the “Organizational Wizard”. Her role includes generating creative content, working on copywriting and editing, organizing everything she can get her hands on and building up engagement! What she loves most about her job is being able to work alongside a team of incredible women who make this job an exciting place to be. She also loves being able to put her years of education to work in a creative and exciting way!
Fun Fact - Erica spent 6 months working at Walt Disney World in Florida as part of her college education. Making magic every day can really bring a great perspective to life!
Melissa Prince
Melissa is one of our Digital Marketing Coordinators. We’ve nicknamed her the “Creative Sasquatch”. Her role includes producing creative content, generating and editing video content, building engagement, monitoring client accounts and as of recently, website creation. What she loves most about her job is stretching her creativity to meet the needs of our diverse clients!
Fun Fact - She grew up as a competitive dancer and is a certified dance teacher - this may explain why she loves being the star of our Reels and TikToks.
Lara Roga
Lara is our Digital Marketing Manager, we’ve nicknamed her the “Quarterback”. Her role includes meeting client deliverables, creating content, copywriting and editing, and supporting the team. What she loves most about her job is having the opportunity to learn new things every day and break out of her comfort zone!
Fun Fact - She loves a challenge in the kitchen and spends weekends experimenting with new recipes
Nicole Reilly
Nicole is one of our Digital Marketing Coordinators and the newest member of our team. Her role includes creating content, assessing client goals, creating targeted advertising and obsessing over organizing spreadsheets. What she loves most about her job is the incredible women she gets to work alongside everyday and the diversity of the clients we get to work with!
Fun Fact - She has twin boys who are now 16 months old!
What a team!
We love our team and our jobs. Every single day, we get to be a part of bringing the vision you have for your business and your brand to life. Our jobs allow us to work with an incredible team of people both internally at The Small Social Company and externally with all the clients we’re fortunate to have on board.
Being able to have a job that allows us to be creative and think outside the box while still bringing value, information, and education to the forefront is something we are so appreciative of!
